The entire project will be on a land size of about fifteen acres. It will roll out in two phases, comprising a retail shopping mall, cinema complex and the second phase having a 120-bed hotel facility. Delico Kumasi, a subsidiary of Delico Property Developments in Mauritius is investing 110 million dollars into the Kumasi Mall City project. The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu who performed the sod cutting called on Nananom under Asanteman to create land banks in their traditional areas to serve as equity to attract foreign direct investment to boost the economy of the Region and also to improve the livelihood of citizens of Asanteman. The Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Samuel Sarpong re-echoed the important role of Kumasi as a hub for both domestic and international trade in the West African sub-region.
