What A Sight To Behold

Isn’t it beautiful to see a mother prepare sweet meals for her children, who sit to enjoy every bit of it, but have no idea of what their parents went through to provide them this comfort?
I’m struck with awe whenever I visit a home and have this experience. Blessed is that home indeed. For by this nourishment the children grow to become not only healthy, but also prudent. They will replicate this filial love to their parents even before they reach their decline.
Like yester years, good parenting is still needed today. Its result being responsible citizens is also evidenced in national stability and development.
Interestingly, in my interactions with people, they tell me how stunned they are to see the level of development and prosperity of developed countries. I tell them the truth: “Developed states have their own challenges. But citizens are change agents who have had their consciousness transformed at childhood. At home parents teach principles of discipline, hard work, truth, honesty, and many other maxims of truth.” I do not mean to say that our country or continent lack these virtues. No, we do have. But they are amazingly small. A good home therefore must be a place where children receive love, care, and tasty meals.
