UG Honours 15 Distinguished Personalities at Special Congregation

Honorees in a group photograph with the Chancellor, some dignitaries and Members of Council The University of Ghana has honoured 15 personalities who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour. 14 out of the 15 honorees attended the ceremony.
His Excellency Mr. Kofi Annan, Chancellor of the University of Ghana declaring the Special Congregation open The ceremony which was presided over by the Chancellor of the University of Ghana, His Excellency Mr. Kofi Annan, was attended by members of the University community and the general public. Prof. Jerome Siau Djangmah, who delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the honorees thanked the University of Ghana for the honour done them. He noted that the degrees require of them the responsibility to sustain collaboration with the University, to help inspire and develop young people for roles in governance, industry and civil society.
