When you pray about any area of your life, or you pray concerning the life of your friends, relatives, pastors, Church, pray with Understanding (based on the Word of God), with Faith and in the Spirit. Always remember that these trio are very powerful.
Now I want to talk briefly about Praying with Understanding. When for instance, you are infirmed or you're praying for someone who is unwell, you must have at the back of your mind that the Lord your God is the Almighty Healer. So whiles soberly praying for yourself, a brethren or a situation, acknowledge God's power to heal and bring restoration. Draw His attention to the infirmity and enage Him in like manner;
[My Lord, because of my sickness, the devil is being glorified. Shall he continue to be glorified in this situation? No way! You won't allow that. For your Word which is truth says, my body is a temple for Your indwelling. Therefore Lord, I beseech You, cause Yourself to be healing to this afflicting illness. Make me whole and show forth Your power over the works of satan. In the name of Jesus. Amen.]
NB: The prayer above is just a short demonstration of praying with understanding, rooted in the Word of God. It is not a mantra because as you push and pray in the Spirit, you will receive loads of prayer weapons to fight whatever situation you're in.
The devil, satan, shall not take glory in your affliction any longer. Flush him out; decree and declare the Word of God into every area of your life or situation.
