Pride in the Church!

The pride of life: wealth, success, high status, makes some people think or feel that they have finally arrived. Don't get me wrong, being wealthy, successful and in a good social standing is very good. But some people get controlled by it and eventually abuse it. Surprisingly, this has subtly crept into the Church. In the Ministry, some leaders think or feel they are superhuman, even divine. With this mindest, they engage in unhealthy comparisons and competitions which consequently may rob them of spiritual progress. Church folks are victims too! When this pride takes a firm root, acting shrewdly or engaging in secret sins becomes normal, no remorse afterwards. This is dangerous! The fact that you are still functioning under the power of the annointing, doesn't mean God endorses your actions or status. He's not and never happy with you. Rather, He is challenging you to renew your ways and rise higher in the light of your calling. It's time to stop the bluffing and seeing yourself as a superstar which, truth be told, you're not. See Jesus as your only Superstar, who is even much much more than this earthly ascription and then focus on the Kingdom. It shall then be well. Amen.
