Rev. 3:20 "I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in ..."
The spiritual significance of these words of Jesus is that every living soul on the face of the earth, regardless of race, etc, should open, acknowledge, and reverently surrender their heart (which is a spiritual door) to the Master so as to hear His voice because Jesus speaks to the hearts of men. By condition, some people will be headstrong, disbelieving, unyielding and will not open their heart for the Lord to come in, so they'll miss His voice, and some others will welcome Him in and then hear His voice.
