The Spirit-power in Worship

There was a man who lived in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. And this man was upright and blameless before God. A man who feared God and eschewed evil. Job 1:1

What a compelling testimony the Bible has about a man!

Job's fear of God wasn't the natural feeling of fear of something or someone powerful, monstrous, or brewing hate and death threats. His fear of God in Bible context was that of holy respect, reverence and worship of God. Job daily acknowledged God as the Creator and Potentate of the heavens and the earth.

This exalted position of God, as understood by Job, meant that God should not or MUST NOT be taken for granted.

So we learn from Job's life a key principle in fellowshipping with God - which is pure worship of God, born out of a willing heart, and respect and love for One who has created us in His own image and after His likeness.

And, then, the intrinsic ability we gain from such posture of reverence is that we easily are able to eschew evil in whatever fashion. The hold and desire to sin is subdued because our constant worship of God fortifies our spirit man over the lusts of the flesh.

True worship of God will exalt God far above the weights of our problems or sins. Our vision of God becomes bigger than and swallows up our fears, insecurities, and troubled situations. This is why in Church whenever we join voices in worship, our minds is not fixed on our problems but drawn to stay solely on the good LORD. Praise God!

Now we know the basis of the authority that Job commanded, his vast estate and wealth, and his invincibility from threats, harm and death even long before Satan got permission from God to touch him. But he bounced back again to possess a far greater glory.

God has warned that "Touch not My anointed and do My prophets no harm." Why? Because these are men and women of worship. You have no idea what things they have sacrificed and are daily striping themselves of so that they remain relevant vessels for the Master's use.

Worship, true worship of God is the way to contact Spirit power to reign on the earth.
